Our Goal

Our Mission Team’s goal is to be wise and generous stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us. We believe that our Missions Ministry is an opportunity to live out our values of evangelism, service, and generosity. Through our missions outreach, we can share the love of Christ, humbly serve others locally and globally, and joyfully share our
resources for Kingdom purposes.

We support local and global ministries in a variety of ways through one-time gifts and ongoing monthly support. We do this through financial gifts, prayer, and service. Each of these ministries are our partners in fulfilling Jesus’ command to make disciples of “all nations.” (Matthew 28:18-20).

Jim serves in the area of Scriptural Impact and Joni as a Financial Bookkeeper with Pioneer Bible Translators.

Jared serves as the Worship and Associate Minister with Mustard Seed Christian Church in Kyoto supporting a church plant.

Ray and Pam Trantham support and develop national leaders in Ukraine in a close working relationship with Hearts4Ukraine.

Ireland

Nick & Jes Tuttle

The Tuttles serve by planting churches in Ireland as part of
Kontaktmission, a Europe-based missions organization.

Ministries:

Rapha is committed to combating the trafficking and sexual abuse ofchildren through holistic care for survivors, prevention services for vulnerable children, and support for families and communities.

Saving grace serves young women ages 18-25 who have aged out of foster care or are facing homelessness. They provide housing in a dorm-style setting and offer each young woman educational assistance, career guidance, coaching, counseling, and more.

Life Ministries is a re-sale store and food pantry located in Prairie Grove.

Cookson Hills provides residential services to at-risk children and their families.

Christ on Campus is a Christian community at the University of Arkansas. Their mission is to help college students know Jesus and follow Him with their whole life. Through worshiping, studying, and serving together, they help students discover God and the identity and purpose that He has for them.

Ozark Christian College trains men and women for Christian service through an undergraduate Bible College education.

ACPN forms partnerships to plant new churches in our region.

House of Hope is a small, intimate, family setting for girls that offers them a safe place to heal, grow and thrive after having lost family due to devastating circumstances. They recognize that the best place for children to be is in a family and they fully support family preservation. They strive to be a place that stands in the gap for scenarios when that is not possible.

Blackbox seeks to bring healing to male survivors of sex trafficking through holistic aftercare. They began this critical work in the Dominican Republic and continue to provide care for boys and young men in their safe home. They are learning from this first initiative and developing a model for holistic aftercare that can be reproduced globally.

Loving Choices offers support to individuals experiencing unplanned pregnancy.

LifeWise Academy in Prairie Grove provides off-site Bible education for public school children during school hours.

GNPI provides culturally relevant, Biblically-based material to accelerate global evangelism.

Pioneer Bible Translators disciples the Bibleless and mobilizes God’s people to provide enduring access to God’s word.

Hands of Hope works in Guatemala meeting basic human needs, building relationships and sharing the gospel so that people don’t only hear about Jesus, but experience Him in tangible ways through the love and service of others.

W.I.S.E. evangelizes Caribbean societies and brings them to Christian maturity through the development of leaders for the church.

Lorene Jones Memorial Scholarship Program:

Purpose:

Provide financial support for students actively involved in the ministry of Prairie Grove Christian Church who desire to attend Bible College within the Christian Church/Churches of Christ brotherhood.

*Applications are available in the scholarship box in the church work room or under ‘Forms & Registration.’ Submit completed forms to the PGCC Scholarship Team. (The distribution box is in the church’s administrative work room.)

We Take Care of Our Own.

One Heart, One Mind is a ministry designed to assist with immediate needs of individuals or families which arise during times of hardship, crisis, and/or tragedy. One Heart, One Mind will provide our church body with the opportunity to pool their resources together in an attempt to always meet these needs. The ministry will be funded by our One Heart, One Mind – One Dollar A Week Fund, which encourages members to give one dollar a week per family member over and above their regular giving.

A Ministry Born From Community

At the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, many church members began to ask how they could help those within the body who were suffering from job loss, reduced income, sickness, etc. Specific funds were being donated for this purpose and many were signing up to “Fill-A-Need” on our church web page. The verses from Acts 4 were truly on display. It became evident that this type of giving and meeting of needs should continue even after Covid-19 is gone.

Be Ready to Meet a Need

  1. Give regularly to the One Heart, One Mind – One Dollar a Week Fund. This can be done online or by dropping your funds into the designated boxes outside the sanctuary or Quest area.

  2. Keep your eyes and ears open to the people around you and let us know about needs by completing this form.

  3. Pray that God will help us to be aware of needs and will move hearts to always be ready to meet those needs.
